VRLA School educates a diverse mix of individuals and organizations about content creation for VR and AR. We produce a variety of frequent events and programs such as hands-on technical & creative workshops, speaker sessions, hackathons, meetups, and content incubation platforms. Our mission is to further progress and democratize findings in the VR/AR space.

Sight and sound are the most prevalent senses used for VR/AR experiences, but what happens when we introduce smell, taste, and touch? VRLA School is teaming up with Mack Sennett Studios for a speaker session and demo day to bring together researchers, artists, and innovators to explore how we can make compelling experiences through all of our senses.
Speakers will also dive into the deeper philosophical, artistic, and scientific implications of multi-sensory experiences. This event is for artists, developers, storytellers, designers, researchers, entrepreneurs, and more.
We put on the first Girls Make VR workshop with Arts Bridging the Gap and SH//FT at the VRLA Summer Expo 2016, and now we’re expanding the curriculum with more frequent events. Girls Make VR brings together VR/AR industry leaders to teach girls how to make VR and AR games, 360 videos, interactive stories, and more. The program is focused on reducing the barriers to entry for VR and AR by providing mentorship, resources, and inspiration to encourage girls to become leaders in the immersive tech industry.
Girls Make VR events begin in 2017.
